In a bid to strengthen community development and enhance public service delivery, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Effutu, Hon. Rev. Atta Mensah, has embarked on a comprehensive tour of key government institutions across the municipality. Themed “Renew, Reflect, and Reset for a Better Ghana,” the tour aims to foster collaboration, assess institutional operations, and better understand the challenges facing public agencies. The MCE, accompanied by a team of top officials from the Municipal Assembly made up of Miss Victoria Anku Nutefe, Assistant Director, Mr. Charles Baah Aboagye, Municipal Information Officer, Mr. Abubakari Sadik, Municipal Development Planning Officer and Mr. Daniel Twum Barima, Assistant Budget Analyst, visited a range of institutions including the Winneba Technical Institute, Ghana National Fire Service, Department of Agriculture, Electricity Company of Ghana Ltd, the High and Circuit Courts, Ghana Highway Authority (Winneba Road Area), Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA), Winneba Secondary School, Physical Planning Department (Town and Country Development), Police Command and Staff College, and the University of Education, Winneba.Addressing management and staff at various stops, Hon. Rev. Atta Mensah conveyed warm greetings from H.E. John Dramani Mahama, President of the Republic of Ghana. He emphasized the need for national unity and effective local governance in achieving meaningful development across the country.He lauded public servants for their pivotal role in nation-building, describing them as the “backbone of our society,” and not just government employees. “The significance of your service cannot be overstated. You are the very engine that drives local development and sustains the social fabric of our communities,” he remarked.The MCE underscored the Assembly’s firm commitment to partnering with public institutions to drive sustainable development initiatives. He noted that through collaborative action and shared responsibility, the municipality can unlock new opportunities for growth and improved service delivery.“Our collective efforts will help us overcome challenges, boost productivity, and deliver better outcomes for our people. We are stronger when we work together,” he said.The tour has been hailed by stakeholders as a proactive and inclusive approach to governance, with several institutional heads commending the MCE for his openness and dedication to addressing systemic challenges.As the tour continues, Hon. Rev. Atta Mensah reiterated his vision for a municipality grounded in transparency, innovation, and unity, where government and community stand side-by-side in building a better, more resilient Ghana.
