The diversity of attendees underscored a strong sense of unity across political, religious, and traditional divides.Delivering the keynote address, Hon. Rev. Atta Mensah expressed appreciation to all who participated, emphasizing the significance of the event as a moment of spiritual renewal and national reorientation.“This is not just a prayer meeting; it is a call to conscience, to unity, and to action,” he stated. Mensah used the occasion to highlight ongoing development strides under the Mahama-led administration, including infrastructure projects, education reforms, and initiatives targeting youth employment. He reaffirmed the National Democratic Congress (NDC)’s commitment to inclusive development and called for stronger collaboration across political and civic fronts.“National prosperity is not the work of a few; it is the shared responsibility of every citizen,” he said, calling for increased social cohesion and grassroots engagement.A vibrant interdenominational praise and worship session electrified the atmosphere, with choral harmonies and instrumental renditions lifting spirits in an expression of gratitude and hope. The sermon of the day was delivered by Ven. Fr. Aaron Moses Ato Kwamena Eduah, whose message powerfully unpacked the event’s core theme. He urged Ghanaians to reflect on past actions, reset their priorities, and renew their commitment to the nation’s progress.“Ghana needs servant leaders; those who lead not for personal gain but to elevate the collective future of our people,” Fr. Eduah declared. He called on both citizens and leaders to embrace integrity, accountability, and patriotism. The service also featured intercessory prayers for national peace, economic stability, and divine guidance for the country’s leadership. Scripture readings, testimonies, and a symbolic candle-lighting ceremony further emphasized hope and spiritual renewal. The event concluded with a heartfelt prayer invoking blessings over Ghana, followed by a group photo that captured the spirit of unity and collective purpose.More than a spiritual observance, the Effutu edition of the National Prayer and Thanksgiving Service served as a platform for civic recommitment and national dialogue. As the nation moves forward, the call to “Reflect, Reset, and Renew” remains a timely message for all Ghanaians seeking a prosperous and unified future.
