A Special Meeting to discuss and approve the 2024 Fee-Fixing Resolution and Composite Budget of the Effutu Municipal Assembly was on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 held at Municipal Assembly Conference Hall at Winneba.The meeting which was attended by the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Alhaji Zubairu Kassim and the Municipal Coordinting Director, Mr. Banini Dzorgbnyui Kwadzo as well as Heads of the various Government Departments/Units and Agencies brought together the Assembly Members of the Effutu Municipal Assembly with the Presiding Member leading the meeting to consider the agenda on the order paper.In her welcome address, the Presiding Member, Hon. Elizabeth Awo Senah thanked members for their cooperation and commitment to the work of the Assembly and urged them to place the development of the Municipality ahead in the consideration of the 2024 Fee Fixing Resolution and Composite Budget to reflect the needs and aspirations of the Effutu people.Wishing them well in the next District Level Elections slated for December 19, 2023, Hon. Awo Senah encouraged members to rekindle the communal spirit to promote and shore up development in Effutu.She urged Assembly Members to live up to the very high principles of service to the people to exhibit a high sense of dedication as expected.The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Alhaji Zubairu Kassim, on his part welcomed inputs from Assembly Members for a people centred budget needed to speed up the development of Effutu.He intimated that, taking pains to discuss and approve the 2024 financial statement of Assembly was necessary in checking for possible omissions and additions geared towards finetuning the document for the betterment of the communities in other to accelerate the development of the Effutu Municipality.The Effutu MCE reechoed his commitment to offer a leadership in line with the vision of the President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for the transformation of the Municipality and the country as a whole.
