The Effutu Municipal Assembly on Monday, October 23, 2023 held a Special Executive Committee Meeting to consider the presentation and discussion of the 2024 Draft Composite Budget and Annual Action Plan of the Assembly for the 2024 Financial year.
The meeting also considered the presentation and discussion of the 2024 Rate Imposition and Fee Fixing Resolution as well as the 2022 Auditor General’s Report.
The committee after the deliberations made recommendations to the General Assembly for further deliberations and approval of the 2024 Fiscal Policy and implementation, geared towards the improvement of the socio-economic conditions of the citizenry.
In his opening remarks, the Municipal Chief Executive and chairman for the Committee, Hon. Alhaji Zubairu Kassim welcomed all members to the meeting and admonished them to give off their best for a fruitful deliberation.
He urged them to live beyond reproach to continue to offer selfless services to ensure the successful execution of the projects and policies to realize the developmental agenda of the Municipality.
Hon. Zubairu Kassim assured of maximum cooperation and collaboration with relevant stakeholders to develop the area to benefit the entire population of Effutu.
Presentations on the 2024 Composite Budget and Rate Imposition as well as Fee Fixing Resolution for the 2024 Fiscal Year were made by the Municipal Budget Team led by the Municipal Budget Analyst, Mr. Kyei Stephen with the Municipal Internal Auditor, Madam Tawakalitu Raji laying the Auditor General’s 2022 Report on the Effutu Municipal Assembly for discussion.
Present at the meeting were chairpersons/conveners of the Sub- Committees and their respective secretaries, selected Heads of Departments and Units as well as the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Banini Dzorgbenyui Kwadzo.
