A Technical Site Inspection and Meeting on the Effutu Municipal Assembly Office Complex construction continued on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at the project site at Winneba with the Municipal Coordinating Director joining a team of Engineers led by the Consultant, Engineer Frederick Gyan Botwe and the Effutu Municipal Engineer, Mr. Emmanuel Yeboah, to assess the progress of work being executed by the Contractor, Construction Ambassadors.
The inspection offered the team an opportunity to create and use a construction inspection checklist to check the safety and security of the site, as well as compliance with the local building code. The team carried out variety of checks including the condition of the foundations, walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs.
The inspection and meeting enabled the team to identify potential issues and recommended for corrections to avoid major faults to save cost to the contractor. They (Construction Ambassadors) advised to put the necessary measures in place to enable them deliver a quality job on schedule to the Assembly.
At the Meeting, the Site Manager, Mr. Kwabena Asiedu briefed the team on the percentage of work done as well as challenges faced in the execution of the construction work. He took note of the recommendations made with an assurance to correct and fix them before the next site meeting date.
The Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Francis, lauded the consultant for his routine site inspection visits and meetings aimed at ensuring that the contractor works with specifications in the contract to deliver a quality job to serve the purpose for its construction.
He said that the Assembly will continue to offer its support to the contractor in ensuring that the work is delivered on schedule to reduce the accommodation challenges faced by staff of the Assembly.
