The Effutu Municipal Assembly has commissioned and officially handed over a fully refurbished bungalow to the Municipal Director of Education, Mr. Issah Baffoe, in a move that underscores the Assembly’s commitment to staff welfare, institutional support and the creation of conducive working and living conditions for key public officials.The refurbished facility was formally handed over by the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Rev. Atta Mensah, on behalf of the Assembly at a ceremony attended by officials of the Municipal Assembly, the Ghana Education Service (GES) and other stakeholders.The intervention, according to the Assembly, forms part of its broader efforts to strengthen institutional infrastructure and provide essential support to public institutions whose work is central to the socio-economic development of the Municipality.The bungalow underwent extensive rehabilitation, transforming what had previously been a facility in need of significant attention into a more functional, safe and aesthetically pleasing residence.The refurbishment covered both structural and finishing works, including the renovation and replacement of doors and windows, electrical installations, plumbing systems and locks, as well as comprehensive painting and other improvements.Additional finishing works included the provision of carpets, frames and other fittings, giving the facility a significantly improved appearance and enhancing its comfort and usability.The completed works have not only improved the physical condition of the bungalow but have also enhanced its safety, functionality and overall suitability as residential accommodation for the Municipal Director of Education.Speaking at the commissioning ceremony, Hon. Rev. Atta Mensah said the Assembly considered the welfare of public servants an important component of effective service delivery.He noted that the Ghana Education Service plays a critical role in shaping the human capital of the Municipality and, by extension, contributing to the long-term development of Effutu.The MCE said providing decent accommodation and a supportive working environment for key education officials was therefore not merely a welfare intervention, but also an investment in the efficient delivery of public education services.Hon. Rev. Atta Mensah expressed satisfaction with the completion of the project and formally handed over the facility to Mr. Baffoe.He urged the Director of Education to take good care of the bungalow and ensure that it was properly maintained to protect the investment made by the Assembly.He further reaffirmed the Assembly’s readiness to deepen collaboration with the Ghana Education Service and other stakeholders to improve educational outcomes and advance development across the Municipality.Receiving the facility, Mr. Issah Baffoe expressed profound appreciation to Hon. Rev.
