The Effutu Municipal Assembly (EMA) has held a comprehensive Staff Durbar aimed at reviewing institutional performance, strengthening internal collaboration, and addressing key challenges affecting effective service delivery within the Municipality.The engagement, which took place on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, was convened at the instance of the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Majeed Ayariga, and held under the leadership of the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Rev. Atta Mensah. It brought together management and staff from across all departments and units of the Assembly.The durbar served as a strategic platform for reflection, dialogue, and accountability, allowing participants to take stock of ongoing development projects, assess departmental work output, and critically examine administrative and operational bottlenecks impacting performance.In an atmosphere marked by openness and professionalism, staff were encouraged to engage freely through an interactive forum, where they shared concerns, experiences, and innovative ideas aimed at improving internal coordination, strengthening teamwork, and enhancing efficiency in service delivery.The discussions were described as candid, constructive, and forward-looking, with participants proposing practical solutions to improve workflow processes, internal communication, and accountability mechanisms within the Assembly. Several contributions emphasized the need for stronger inter-departmental collaboration, timely decision-making, and adherence to established administrative procedures.Addressing the gathering, the Municipal Chief Executive, Rev. Atta Mensah, commended management and staff for their dedication and sacrifices in serving the people of Effutu. He acknowledged the pivotal role of public servants in driving grassroots development and sustaining local governance.Rev. Mensah, however, called for renewed commitment to professionalism, discipline, and ethical conduct, stressing that a strong work culture, integrity, and unity of purpose were indispensable to delivering quality and responsive public services. He urged staff to embrace teamwork and uphold the values of public service in their daily duties.On his part, the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Majeed Ayariga, encouraged staff to align their work with the broader national development agenda, underscoring the importance of results-driven performance, transparency, and responsiveness to the needs of citizens. He noted that improving institutional efficiency at the local level was critical to achieving sustainable development outcomes.The durbar concluded with a collective reaffirmation of the Effutu Municipal Assembly’s commitment to building a people-centred, accountable, and efficient local government system. Management and staff pledged to work collaboratively towards delivering tangible development outcomes and improving the quality of life for residents across the Municipality.
