The Effutu Municipal Chief Executive, Re. Atta Mensah, has extended heartfelt encouragement and best wishes to 1,584 candidates sitting for the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in the Municipality.The candidates made up of 1058 and 526 students drawn from Public and Private Schools respectively in the Municipality had 527 males and 531 females from the public schools with the private schools also presenting 251 and 275 males and females respectively.The Municipal Chief Executive in the company of the Paramount Chief of the Effutu Traditional Area, Nenyi Ghartey VII, the Municipal Education Director, Madam Diana Anderson and other officials from the Municipal Education Directorate paid a working visit on Wednesday, June 10, 2025 to the Winneba Secondary School Centre for the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination to among other things motivate and encourage candidates to give off their best in the examination.He reminded the students that the examination was a platform to give accounts of what they had studied throughout their basic education journey and charged them to approach the questions with confidence.The Effutu MCE told the candidates to see the BECE as an important milestone in their academic journey whilst charging them to be confident and disciplined during the process.Offering the moral support on behalf of the Effutu people, Hon. Rev. Atta Mensah assured the 2025 BECE Candidates of the Assembly’s preparedness to support their transition for further education at the senior high level.He encouraged them to do away with fear by employing an open-minded approach to tackling the examination questions.The Effutu Mayor reminded candidates to make integrity their priority by eschewing examination malpractices in the ongoing basic school examinations.
