The 2025 Masquerade Festival of the chiefs and people of the Effutu Traditional Area is scheduled to be held on Wednesday, January 1, 2025 at the Municipal Capital of Winneba.Ahead of the celebration, the Effutu Municipal Chief Executive, Alhaji Zubairu Kassim with the support of the Management of the Assembly received a delegation from Winneba’s Sister City group in Charlottesville in the United States of America on Tuesday, December 31, 2024 at the Assembly’s Auditorium.The team announced that they had arrived in Ghana to partner with the Effutu people for the celebration of the Masquerade Festival which forms part of the rich cultural heritage of the people in the area.The Effutu Municipal Chief Executive welcomed the delegation and assured them of the Assembly’s readiness to assist them in exploring all avenues of friendship and investment that bind the two cities together. He expressed gratitude to the Charlottesville group for their continuous support throughout his tenure as Municipal Chief Executive. Announcing the end of his tenure as the Effutu MCE after January 7, 2024, Hon. Zubairu Kassim pledged to commit to the union of friendship and brotherliness established with the Charlottesville Sister City group by availing himself for assistance and support anytime they visit Effutu to strengthen the bond between the two cities.
