The New Central Regional Commander for the Ghana Immigration Service, Mohammed Hudu paid a courtesy call on the Effutu Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Alhaji Zubairu Kassim at his office in Winneba on Friday, June 7, 2024.
The meeting was used to introduce the New Regional Commander to the Effutu MCE as well as to explore possible ways of collaborating to successfully execute the mandate of the Ghana Immigration Service in the Effutu Municipality and the Region as a whole.
Hon. Zubairu Kassim welcomed the new regional commander and assured him of the Assembly’s readiness to continuously support and collaborate with the Ghana Immigration Service in the Municipality to enable it prosecute its mandate effectively for an enhanced security.
He noted that the Assembly had over the years supported the GIS Office at Winneba as well as collaborated well with the officers to maintain law and order by ensuring that foreigners in the Municipality went through the mandated procedures sanctioned by law to satisfy the requirements needed for their stay.
The Central Regional Commander for the Ghana Immigration Service, Mohammed Hudu thanked the Effutu MCE and the Assembly for the warm reception granted him and his team.
He was particularly grateful to the Effutu Member of Parliament, Hon. Alexander Afenyo-Markin for supporting the office with logistics as well as initiating the construction of an office complex for the smooth administration of the outfit in Effutu.
Mr. Mohammed Hudu pledged to continue from where his predecessor left off by rallying the support and cooperation of all relevant stakeholders in the region and device innovative means to execute the mandate of the Ghana Immigration Service in the region.
