The Effutu Municpal Assembly on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 held a staff durbar to discuss the critical role of staff in the development of the Effutu Municipality as well as address some of the key challenges confronting the members of staff of the Assembly.
In his welcome address, the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Banini Dzorgbenyui Kwadzo urged staff to eschew lateness and truancy towards the work of Government in the Assembly for enhanced productivity to fast track accelerated development.
Mr. Banini Dzorgbenyui advised staff to guard against engaging in partisan politics before during and after the 2024 General Elections and focus on the core mandate of seeing to the implementation of government policies and programmes to bring development to the people.
The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Alhaji Zubairu Kassim in a statement, lauded the hard work and team spirit demonstrated by staff in the first quarter of the year amidst the numerous challenges faced by the Assembly.
Hon. Zubairu Kassim commended the exemplary leadership traits exhibited by the various Heads of Department and Units which according to him motivated the entire staff to give off their best in executing the development agenda of the Assembly.
The Effutu MCE however, bemoaned truancy and lateness among a section of the staff and charged the Municipal Coordinating Director to deal decisively with staff who engage in acts that seek to lower the standards set for maximizing gains for the Assembly.
Hon. Zubairu Kassim urged staff whose performance and output to the progress of the Assembly were below par to measure up in the ensuing months to be on the same wave length with their colleagues for efficiency of work to be achieved.
The durbar provided the platform for staff to interact with management to offer suggestions and contributions geared towards achieving the goals of extending development to all parts of the Municipality. They also placed before management the pressing challenges that required urgent attention to aid the acceleration of the development of Effutu.
