EMA STAFF RECEIVE TRAINING IN CLIENT SERVICE MANAGEMENT

The Office of the Head of Local Government Service through the Central Regional Coordinating Council has developed, fully disseminated and trained management and staff of the Effutu Municipal Assembly on the Client Service Operational Manual for the service.The training programme held at the Municipal Assembly Conference Hall on Thursday; March 14, 2024 was to build staff capacity on the Service’s developed operational manual aimed at providing client satisfaction for effective and efficient service delivery.  In his opening remarks, the Effutu Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Banini Dzorgbenyui Kwadzo, noted that the client service unit essential efficient service delivery to all the stakeholders of the Assembly, and was therefore imperative for staff to equip themselves with the requisite skills needed to effectively deliver services to both the external and internal publics as well as stakeholders of the Assembly. Mr. Dzorgbenyui Kwadzo intimated that, the one delivering a service is as important as the customer receiving the service and admonished staff to be very professional and circumspect in their dealings adding that a person’s way of communicating with people defines his/her personality.   The Head of the Human Resource Division of the Central Regional Coordinating Council, Mr. Moses Nyame who led the training explained that the vision of the Local Government Service is to become a world class decentralized and client -oriented service. According to him a client of an institution could either be internal or external who may patronize the Assembly for various services including enquiries and complaints.Participants were also taken through areas including Client Service Management, Functions of the Clients, Job Description and Competencies.Others include Local Government Service electronic complaints and enquires, compliance and monitoring, Operational Procedures, as well as procedures in handling clients.STORY BY: CHARLES BAAH ABOAGYE & CECILIA MARFO -ISD
