The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the Effutu Municipal Assembly, Hon. Alhaji Zubairu Kassim, has been honoured by the National Sports Authority through the Effutu Sports Committee for his immense contributions towards the development of sports in the Municipality.
In a citation presented to him at his office in Winneba on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 the Authority observed that the contribution of the Effutu MCE was palpably felt in his personal role in activities geared towards sports development in the Municipality.
It also extolled his energy and drive in supporting the activities and programs to well-position the Authority for future growth and expressed the appreciation of the National Fitness and Cross Country Team for his contribution leading to the attainment of laurels in their field of endeavour.
Presenting the citation, the Chairman for the Effutu Sports Unit, Dr. Munkaila Seibu intimated that the exemplary record of the Effutu MCE at providing support and guidance to organizations and businesses operating under his jurisdiction has positioned the NSA to take advantage of the enormous opportunities in the accomplishment of its mission.
He appealed for more support for sports development in Effutu to help unearth talents in the various sports dsciplines for the realization of the Effutu dream.
The obviously elated MCE, Hon. Alhaji Zubairu Kassim on his part said that he was humbled by the recognition and honour done him by the National Sports Authority and promised to continue to invest more in sports development within the Effutu Municipality to help realize the enormous sports potentials in the area.
