Uncle Rich Preparatory school in Winneba recorded a one hundred (100) percent pass rate in the 2022 Basic Education Certificate Examination and was adjudged the Best Basic School, Private school category in the Effutu Municipality during the same period.
This was made known on Saturday, September 23, 2023 by the Assistant Head Master of the School, Mr. Robert Andoh, when he gave an account of the school for the year ending 2022 at its 2nd Graduation Ceremony under the theme “Upholding Discipline; The Role of Stakeholders”.
He said that the school apart from its academic feet during the year under review prepared students to achieve greater laurels in the areas of sports development and other disciplines of the child’s development.
These according to him were realized as a result of a holistic system of training that makes the individual capable of exhibiting sterling mental, emotional and moral qualities which can endure in a life time.
Mr. Andoh extolled the selflessness and dedication with which the teachers approach the training of the students under their care with four of them receiving recognition at the teachers awards in different categories of their operations in the Municipality.
The Effutu Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Alhaji Zubairu Kassim, who chaired the ceremony admonished the students to attach serious importance to their studies by adhering strictly to the instructions of their teachers to excel in their educational lives.
Hon. Zubairu Kassim stated that success could only be achieved the hard way through hard work and discipline and advised students to shun friendships and associations that will lure them to deviate from their purpose of learning hard to climb the educational lather to be successful in life.
Extending the felicitation of the Effutu Member Parliament, Hon. Alexander Afenyo-Markin to the school on the successes chocked by churning out quality students since its inception, the Effutu MCE announced the MP’s support of Ghc10,000 to the school on the occasion of its 2nd Graduation Ceremony with the Effutu Municipal Assembly topping up the donation with an amount of Ghc 2,000.
The Guest Speaker, Rev. Richard Atobra, appealed to parents and teachers to value the course of instilling discipline in the children without using the approach of hostilities and condemnation, a situation he said will only make children timid with little value.
He said that children will learn to be more discipline and tolerant of others when teachers and parents do not ridicule them as a way of correcting them when they make mistakes.
