EMA HOLDS MEETING WITH TRAUMA AND SPECIALIST HOSPITAL TRADERS

The Management of the Effutu Municipal Assembly on Monday, July 24, 2023 held a meeting with stakeholders and traders who ply their trade opposite the Trauma and Specialist Hospital at Winneba to discuss a planned relocation to pave way for a intended project to build stores to expand trading and business activities in the area.

The meeting allowed for an official announcement on a Public Private Partnership project earmarked for construction on the stretch of land occupied by the traders.

Addressing the meeting, the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Banini Dzorgbenyui Kwadwo, informed the stakeholders about plans by the Assembly to use the stretch being currently occupied by the traders for the intended project to build stores for hiring.

He noted that the Assembly was finalizing plans to relocate the traders to a new place to pave way the for the commencement of the project adding that the Assembly hopes to create a conducive environment for traders to continue to engage in their business activities before, during and after the completion of the project.

The Effutu MCD assured the traders of the Assembly’s resolve to grant the current occupants of the place preference in the acquisition of the stores when completed.

The traders on their part pledged to cooperate with the Assembly for a successful execution of the project with a call for transparency in their dealings with the Assembly. The two parties committed to planned series of meetings to iron out possible hitches likely to affect the smooth operationalization the project.
