A technical site meeting and Handing Over of the evacuation, installation and rehabilitation of a 33No. Streetlights Project at Winneba Phase 1 (UEW North Campus to Winneba Traffic Light) executed by construction firm, Prefos Limited was held on Wednesday July 19, 2023.
The meeting which was well attended by high profile officials of the Effutu Municipal Assembly led by the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Alhaji Zubairu Kassim and other top management members of the Assembly on one side and senior officials from Prefos Limited on the other side witnessed the handing over of the operations and maintenance of the street lights to the Assembly.
The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Alhaji Zubairu Kassim, after leading the team from the Assembly and Prefos Limited to inspect the completed project lauded Prefos Limited for delivering the project on schedule to illuminate the streets in the affected areas with durable street lighting.
He noted that well-lit streets have the potential to boost investment to aid economic growth and reduce poverty adding that the Assembly will continue to invest in essential sectors of the economy to spur up development to affect the people positively.
On his part, the Project Engineer for Prefos Limited, Engineer Klenam Atipoe, said that Prefos Limited exist to offer technical expertise crucial with electrification in contemporary times and will continue place the interest of the Ghanaians at heart in the execution of contracts to provide lights to various parts of the country.
He intimated that the company’s technical expertise would be brought to bare continuously to resolve street lighting challenges especially in rural areas across the country.
