The new Manager for the Driver and Vehicle License Authority in the Effutu Municipality, Mr. Roland Dorkenu Coffie, paid a courtesy call on the Effutu Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Alhaji Zubairu Kassim on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at his office in Winneba.
The visit of Mr. Roland Dorkenu who was in the company of other management members of the DVLA in Winneba was to allow for the DVLA leadership to familiarize with the Assembly as well as introduce the newly posted manager to the Municipal Chief Executive.
In a brief welcome address, Hon. Alhaji Zubairu Kassim, the Effutu Municipal Chief Executive, reiterated the Assembly’s resolve to partner with DVLA towards the realization of their vision to boost the economy of Effutu to shore up the development of the Municipality.
He pledged to commit the technical staff of the Assembly to assist in the operationalization of the DVLA’s vision and programmes in areas where their services will be needed to serve the interest of the Effutu people.
He charged the new Manager to work diligently to improve on the gains made by his predecessors to push the development agenda of Effutu forward to benefit the entire Effutu population.
Briefing the Municipal Chief Executive, the new Manager for the Effutu Office of DVLA, Mr. Roland Dorkenu Coffie, extended the felicitation of the Chief Executive Officer for the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA), Mr. Kwasi Agyeman Busia to the Effutu MCE and lauded the Assembly for providing a conducive environment for the smooth operations of the Authority.
He noted that the DVLA has in recent years initiated several interventions to make the acquisition of drivers’ license less complex for every Ghanaian.
Mr. Dorkenu Coffie called for the collaboration and support of the Assembly to aid the Authority implement its planned programmes of upgrading the Municipality DVLA to allow for the registration of vehicles in the Municipality. With the new DVLA Manager for Effutu were, Messrs. Addae Twum Barima (Administrative Officer), George Hooper (Accountant), Prince Nyarko (Technical Engineer) and Madam Angelina Kessie (Administrative Officer).
