The Municipal Chief Executive for the Effutu Municipal Assembly, Hon. Alhaji Zubairu Kasim, has said that a teacher’s positive output could generate into a skilled human capital which reflects positively on work output to boost the Gross Domestic Product of the country.
According to him, teacher motivation and learning outcomes have become matters of concern in the delivery of educational standards and remain key in achieving the goals of education and called on all stakeholders in the education sector to invest in teacher motivation to affect learning outcomes in the Effutu Municipality.
Hon. Alhaji Zubairu Kassim made this call when he addressed the 3rd Edition of the Effutu Teachers Awards held on Monday, May 29, 2023, sponsored by the Effutu Member of Parliament, Hon. Alexander Afenyo Markin.
Speaking on the need to prioritize teacher motivation to affect educational outcomes, Hon. Zubairu Kassim, noted that the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4 on good quality education which implies quality education for everyone will take qualified, fairly rewarded and motivated teachers to be achieved.
He commended the Effutu Member of Parliament for having the heartbeat for the excellence of education in the Municipality by motivating teachers in all fronts in order to ensure effective learning outcomes in the area.
He charged all persons in the academia to work to ensure that Government programmes such as FCUBE and Free Senior High School established to guarantee free primary and secondary education nationwide on the pillars of improved human capital for national development are achieved to shore up national development.
