As part of the Assembly’s mandate of ensuring that staff are highly equipped in all areas of their work, a one-day capacity building training on Performance Management Systems and Performance Appraisal to help improve the Records Management System of the Assembly was on Tuesday, April4, 2023 organized for all staff of the Effutu Municipal Assembly.
The training programme which was in two folds saw the Administrative Staff made up of all the decentralized departments and units on one side and the drivers who make up the Transport Unit on the other side.
The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Alhaji Zubairu Kassim, in an opening address, encouraged all staff to take the training serious and participate fully to impact on their service delivery in the office. He urged them to commit themselves to grab the knowledge from the training to place Effutu’s performance ahead of other Assemblies.
Hon. Alhaji Zubairu Kassim welcomed the facilitators to the Municipality and thanked them for accepting to avail themselves for this training workshop.
The Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Banini Dzorgbeyui Kwadwo, on his part noted that the training was aimed at not only improving the performance management system of the assembly but also the importance and relevance of keeping records.
He assured the Municipal Chief Executive on behalf of the staff that the workers will use the knowledge acquired to work to impact on Government business to bring about development.
The team of facilitators led by Mr. Moses Nyame took the participants through areas including Performance Management System (Performance Contract and Performance Appraisal) and Defensive Driving Mechanisms as wells as the structure and functions of the Local Government Service.
