CONTRACTOR SETS MARCH 31ST TO COMPLETE PROJECT

The contractor working on the Effutu Municipal Assembly block complex in Winneba has given assurance to complete the project by March 31, 2023 to take care of the accommodation challenges confronting the Office.

Mr. Kwabena Asiedu, Site Engineer for the construction firm, Construction Ambassadors, the firm undertaking the project whiles giving the assurance said the workers were working day and night to ensure that the ambitious 23- day stipulation was achieved.

Briefing the consultant for the project, Engineer Frederick Gyan- Botwe, after a site inspection of the project on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, Mr. Asiedu said that all efforts were underway to ensure that the project was delivered on schedule.

Giving details on the progress of work, Mr. Asiedu said, so far, it had completed almost 60% of the difficult works on the project which include concrete and plastering works as well as structural defaults and will soon tackle painting works to push the project to near completion.

The Consultant , Engineer Frederick Gyan Botwe led a technical construction site inspection on the facility for a visual assessment of the work being performed at a construction site including a variety of checks, such as the condition of the foundations, walls, floors, ceilings, and roofs.

The inspection was also used to create and use a construction inspection checklist to check the safety and security of the site, as well as compliance with the local building code. It also afforded the consultant and his team the opportunity to ensure that the work being performed was in accordance with the plans and specifications.

The inspection revealed potential issues and recommended for corrections to avoid major faults to save cost to the contractor, Construction Ambassadors and enable them deliver a quality job to the Effutu Municipal Assembly.

The consultant was accompanied by the Effutu Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Banini Dzorgbenyui Kwadzo, the Municipal Engineer, Mr. Emmanuel Yeboah, and the Municipal Information Officer, Mr. Charles Baah Aboagye.
