The Effutu Municipal Assembly has completed the construction of a single 1200MM Culvert the Bodomeyinsem stream to connect one part of the Sankor community near Winneba to the other.
The Community which had long been yearning for the culvert bridge showered praises on the Effutu Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Alhaji Zubairu Kassim for coming to their aid after they called on the Assembly for their support in fixing the bridge which had cut off one part of the community from the other.
The Project which commenced on January 5, 2023 and completed a week later on January 13, 2023 is expected to take away the hustle the people of Sankor through on a daily basis especially during rainy seasons.
The Project supervised by the Department of Urban Roads under the Ministry of Roads and Highways from the Ghana Road Fund had the MCE taking keen interest to ensure a successful completion of the project on schedule.
Hon. Zubairu Kassim charged the Municipal Urban Roads Engineer, Mr. Eric Akwei, to ensure the delivery of a diligent work which would be appreciated by all residents in the area.
The residents who expressed joy over the construction of the completed project noted that it will contain the huge volumes of water that pass under it and avert perennial flooding in the area causing drivers to refuse plying that root to serve the needs of the people.
