The Effutu Municipal Assembly on Thursday December 22, 2022 ended the year with a staff durbar that created the opportunity for performance appraisal of the year under review as well as put the ensuing year into perspective.
The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Alhaji Zubairu Kassim, in an address lauded staff of the Assembly for the hard work and team spirit demonstrated during the period under review. He praised the Departmental Heads of the various Decentralized agencies and Units for the able leadership they provided which motivated the entire staff to give off their best.
The MCE expressed optimism whiles assuring the staff that the challenges faced in housing the various Departments will be a thing of the past in 2023 upon completion of the construction of the Municipal Assembly Office Complex which has the capacity to accommodate all the Departments within the Municipality to ensure efficiency and productivity.
Hon. Zubairu Kassim urged those with performance below par to measure up in the coming year. He advised staff to take very good care of themselves during the festive season by celebrating the Yuletide in modulation and within the laws of the land to help keep the peace being enjoyed in the country.
The durbar was also used to sensitize the staff on Local Government Service Protocols including service standards and good financial management practices with an open forum for questions and contributions aimed at pushing the development agenda of the Municipality forward.
The durbar which was held at the forecourt of the Municipal Assembly provided an opportunity for socialization among management and staff of the Assembly.
