The Municipal Chief Executive for the Effutu Municipal Assembly, Hon. Alhaji Zubairu Kassim, on Thursday, November, 2022 gave a strong account of his stewardship since his assumption of office as the Municipal Chief Executive for the Municipality.
In an exclusive interview on Radio Windy Bay, Hon. Zubairu Kassim, enumerated the successes chalked in the various sectors of development including education, health, infrastructure and security.
Chronicling the achievements relative to the Effutu Municipality, the MCE said all sub-sectors of the economy have benefitted from the government’s massive infrastructural development.
Listeners of the radio station who phoned in to contribute to the program were dumbfounded when he outlined the number of school projects including ACM Basic School, Don Bosco School, Unipra South C Basic School constructed and renovated in the Municipality since 2021.
Hon. Zubairu Kassim announced that his office has since 2021 distributed more than 1000 Metal Desk to selected schools within the Municipality.
On the Office Complex of the Effutu Municipal Assembly which had been abandoned since 2013, Hon. Zubairu Kassim, said that his quest to see to the completion of the project has received attention with the office of the Administrator of Common Fund awarding the project on contract. He added that the stalled project which has over the years created accommodation challenges for decentralized Government Departments in the Effutu Municipality has since seen the contractor move to site to commence work.
Speaking on the Winneba Masqueraders Festival, the Municipal Chief Executive noted that the Assembly is working hard with the security agencies to ensure peace and sanity before, during and after the celebration.
Hon. Zubairu Kassim warned miscreants who have made it their project to disturb the security of the Municipality to desist from that to promote the peace being enjoyed by all residents. He said that several raids have been outlined to curb crime in the ensuing months to flush out criminals.
