A meeting of Assembly Members was on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 held in the Effutu Municipal Assembly to consider and approve the 2023 Fee Fixing and Budget for the Municipality.
The Meeting which was heavily attended by Assembly Members from all the Electoral Areas as well as Government Appointees in the Effutu Municipality and heads of the various Government Departments and Agencies within then Municipality saw the members deliberate on matters including proposed increments in market store rates, rents, taxation and physical projects earmarked for the 2023 administrative year.
The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Alhaji Zubairu Kassim , earlier delivered his address which included the Executive Committee Report with an appeal to all members to work together to push forward the development agenda of the Municipality.
He reported on the progress made in the various sectors of the local economy touting the enormous contributions of the Member of Parliament, Hon. Alexander Markin towards extending development to the Municipality. This partnership between the Assembly and the Member of Parliament he said is evident in the number of projects including roads, schools and libraries seen in the Municipality during the period under review.
Hon. Zubairu Kassim, admonished staff of the Assembly to place the development of the Municipality on the top of their agenda by giving off their best to realize Government business in the Effutu Municipality.
