EFFUTU MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY HANDS OVER 2-UNIT CLASSROOM BLOCK TO DON BOSCO BASIC SCHOOL

The Effutu Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Alhaji Zubairu Kassim, on Thursday October 13, 2022 handed over keys to the newly constructed 2-Unit Kindergarten Block with a rest room, office space, dining area and other ancillary facilities  to the Don Bosco Catholic Basic School through the Ghana Education Service in the Effutu Municipality.

The project, which was financed by the Government of Ghana has disability friendly fittings to allow for pupils with disability to access it like their abled counterparts.

Presenting the keys to the school through the Ghana Education Service, the Municipal Chief Executive, Alhaji Zubairu Kassim, noted that, the completion of the project was timely to help reduce congestion in the classrooms.

He charged the Ghana Education Service in Winneba to continuously monitor to ensure the maintenance of the facility to enable it serve generations yet unborn, adding that the Assembly would work closely with the Ghana Education service (GES) to develop a plan that would establish guidelines to improve the physical conditions of the schools and create an atmosphere of learning that would endure for decades to come.

On his part the Deputy Director of Education in charge of Supervision and monitoring, Mr. William Mensah Kuvuodo who received the keys on behalf of the Municipal Director of Education, Madam Mabel Judith Micah expressed gratitude to the Municipal Assembly and Government for investing so much in education to aid teaching and learning in Effutu.

He assured the Municipal Chief Executive that the edifice would be put to good use to affect the development of the pupils positively make good use out of it.

In a related development the Municipal Chief Executive met with final year students of the Don Bosco and ACM Junior High Schools who are preparing for the Basic Education Certificate Examination scheduled to begin on Monday October 17, 2022 and encouraged them to face the exams with the mindset of coming out with excellence to position them well for the next ladder of their pursuit for higher education.

He admonished them to guard against examination malpractices and focus on understanding the questions to help them reproduce what they were taught in the classroom to produce better results in the end.
