The Effutu Municipal Assembly held its Second Ordinary Meeting of the Third Session of the Seventh Assembly on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at the Assembly Hall in Winneba.
In attendance were the Presiding Member, Hon. Elizabeth Senah, Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Francis Asiedu, Assembly Members and the Heads of the various Government Departments and Agencies in the Effutu Municipal Assembly.
The Presiding Member in her opening remarks welcomed Honorable Members to the Meeting and urged them to cooperate well for the realization of the agenda on the order paper. She read the minutes of the previous meeting which was later adopted for discussions.
The Executive Committee report which featured recommendations from the sub- committees and actions taken to expedite implementation on some urgent recommendations was presented on behalf of the Municipal Chief Executive who was out on an equally important national duty.
Speaking at the meeting, the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Francis Asiedu, highlighted the Performance of the Assembly as well as activities undertaken since the last meeting. Amongst them he mentioned included the Assembly’s participation in the recently held Central Expo Fair organized by the Central Regional Coordinating Council in collaboration with the Ministry of Creative Arts and the Ministry of Trade and Industry, administrative changes within the Assembly’s setup, as well as reports on projects being pursued by the Assembly. H also touched on the financial performance of the Assembly, Environmental Sanitation, Education Improvement, and Local Economic Development among others.
He called for the collaboration and support of the Assembly Members in their respective Electoral Areas for the speedy development of the Effutu Municipality.
The meeting also commissioned a market committee to oversee the activities of the main markets in the Effutu Municipality.
