The team of assessors for the 2021 District Performance Assessment Tool (DPAT) began the annual assessment of the municipal assembly on Monday August 1, 2022 at the municipality. The Assessment which lasted for 2 days started with and Entry Conference/meeting between the Assessors and the various heads of Government Departments and Agencies in the Municipality. The Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Francis Asiedu, in a brief remark welcomed the team and assured them of the readiness of the Assembly to partake in the assessment. He assured them of the maximum cooperation of the Assembly for a successful Assessment
Mr. Francis Asiedu noted that all necessary documents required for the exercise were ready and would be made available to the team.
An exit conference to announce the Assembly’s performance for the 2021 Administrative year was held on Tuesday August 2, 2022 with the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Alhaji Zubairu Kassim and the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Francis Asiedu as well as various Heads of Department/Units and staff of the Assembly in attendance. The DPAT team which was led by Mr. Jonathan Ocansah took pains to read the thematic areas and its respective marks the Assembly was needed to acquire to sum up to 100%. The indicators included; compliance, service delivery and performance.
Announcing the results, the team leader indicated the thematic areas where the Assembly had lost some few marks which had to do with the property rate distribution and revenue collection, resulting in the Assembly losing two percentage (2%) points.
In all, the Assembly had a whopping 98% out of 100% performance for the year 2021.
The team advised the staff to pay particular attention to record keeping, minutes writing, preparation of payment vouchers and other areas regarding the performance of its mandate.
The MCE, Hon. Alhaji Zubairu Kassim thanked the team for their level of professionalism and open mindedness in seeking clarity on issues needed for the score.
He was of much praise to the staff of the Assembly for what he called a selfless and dedicated efforts exhibited during the Assessment period in guiding the Assembly to attain a higher score of 98%. The MCE however charged the staff to continue to work hard to meet all the indicators in the coming year to enable the Assembly score all percentage points
