Muslims in Winneba have been urged to adhere strictly to the principles of Islam whiles ensuring the highest level of personal security as they celebrate the festival of sacrifice to continue to enjoy the blessings and favour from Allah.
They were also admonished to reflect on the significance of the day by making the devotion and obedience of Prophet Ibrahim to the Almighty Allah be a turning point on their faith and relations with God.
Addressing Muslims in Winneba to mark the 2022 Eid-Ul- Adha celebration, the Municipal Chief Executive for Effutu, Hon. Alhaji Zubairu Kassim, charged the Muslim community in Winneba to learn from the dedication of Prophet Ibrahim and renew their faith constantly and ensure they obey Allah in whatever they do.
He noted that the country was not in normal times as terrorists and other strange diseases continue to threaten the security of the state with called on celebrants especially the youth to exercise maximum security caution during and after the festive occasion.
Extending the well wishes of the Member of Parliament for the area, Hon. Alexander Afenyo Markin to the congregants, the M.C.E noted that the MP has prayed to Allah to use the blessings that accompany the slaughtering of a ram to continuously bless the people of Effutu and Ghana as a whole.
According to him ,the Member of Parliament is optimistic that the celebration of the day would continue to enhance the peaceful co-existence of all as the occasion seeks more to project and promote sharing and caring for one another.
