The Municipal Chief Executive for the Effutu Municipal Assembly, Alhaji Zubairu Kassim, on Tuesday January 18, 2022 toured some schools in the Municipality as part of the Ghana Education Service’s “My First Day At School”.
The day which is set aside to welcome and interact with school children and pupils who are beginning school to generate and sustain their interest in education saw the Municipal Chief Executive and his team which included the Municipal Director of Education, Mrs. Mabel Judith Micah visit schools such as Don-Bosco Catholic Boys’ and Girls’ Primary Schools, Ansaful M/A Basic School and Ntakorfem M/A Basic School.
Hon. Alhaji Zubairu Kassim welcomed the little freshers and entreated them to consider learning as the only tool to improving their literacy skills for their personal development as well as society and nation building at large.
He admonished the kids of the many benefits they stand to gain if they prioritize their studies as well as the President’s commitment to developing the individual through education and making them useful citizens in the future.
The MCE charged teachers to take in consideration the future of the kids by giving their all through hard work and professionalism in the realization of the educational needs of the pupils and the country as a whole.
On her part the Municipal Director of Education Mrs. Mabel Judith Micah assured parents that their kids will be given the needed care and attention as they begin their educational journeys of life.
She appealed to parents to encourage their kids by supporting them with all their educational needs by augmenting the support provided by Government adding that placing premium on the education of children is the surest way of making them useful citizens in the future,
