EMA MANAGEMENT TOURS TISSUE FACTORY SITE

The Municipal Chief Executive for the Effutu Municipal Assembly, Hon. Alhaji Zubairu Kassim, on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 embarked on a working visit to the construction site for the Paper Factory under the One District One Factory (1D1F) at New Winneba.The MCE who was accompanied by the Presiding Member for the Assembly, Hon. Elizabeth Awo Senah and the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Banini Dzorgbenyui Kwadzo as well as other management members of the Assembly was at the site to familiarize with the workers for the project and inspect the progress of work.Hon. Zubairu Kassim in a short speech noted that the construction of the Paper Factory when completed would go a long way to create jobs for the teaming youth in the Municipality thereby improving the livelihood of its inhabitants to shore up its development.WORK PROGRESSING STEADILYWhiles expressing how impressed he was with the tremendous work by the contractors so far, the Effutu MCE reiterated the Assembly’s commitment to providing the necessary assistance for the contractor to expeditiously carry out the task of completing the project on schedule.He mentioned the extension of electricity and water supply to the construction site as some of the support the Municipal Assembly has provided to aid the effective execution of the project to benefit the Effutu people.Hon. Zubairu Kasssim said that the speed and energy being injected into the work on site to give the project life to benefit the Municipality and the country as a whole was very inspiring and offered the hope that the Municipality will soon witness the first ever factory of such kind to help address youth unemployment in the area.The Site Manager, Mr. Eric Debrah who took the team round the site in the company of an Indian Engineer, Subash Dubey, noted that the Factory when completed will provide a minimum of 800 direct jobs for the people.He assured that the project barring any eventualities will be completed on schedule to serve the purpose of its construction to offer direct and indirect jobs to the inhabitants of Effutu and its environs.
