The Effutu Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Alhaji Zubairu Kassim, on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, joined Muslims in Winneba to offer prayers and sacrifices to mark this year’s Eid-Ul-Adha with s call on residents to as a matter of urgency promote and live peacefully with one another to fulfil the will of Allah.
According to him the command from Allah on Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his son was a test on Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness and commitment to obey his Lord’s command without question. This he said should guide all in the sacrifice and commitment needed to build the country Ghana.
He charged Muslims to exhibit the values and teachings of Prophet Mohammed by living in peace and harmony with all Ghanaians.
Hon. Zubairu Kassim advised Muslims to see themselves as well as peoples of other faith as one people with a common purpose.
He also asked Muslims to seek for peace and unity of the country and work hard to accelerate its development.
The Effutu MCE congratulated Muslims in the Municipality on the occasion of Eid and pledged government’s support in all their deliberations.
The Chief of Winneba Zongo, Alhaji Suleman Salaga IV, on his part offered special prayers for the Effutu MCE who he described as his son and thanked Allah for seeing them through the year.
He prayed for their supplications, together with those who were able to embark on the journey to Hajj.
