EFFUTU MCE JOINS MUSLIMS TO CELEBRATE 2023 EID-UL- FITR

Hon. Alhaji Zubairu Kassim, the Effutu Municipal Chief Executive, has observed the need for the Muslim fraternity to live a life of modesty in their celebration of the Eid-Ul- Fitr and the Aboakyir Festivals to help maintain peace and protect lives of the citizens in the Municipality.

He said that after a 30 day sacrifice made during the season of fasting and prayers, Muslims reserved a million reason to celebrate with the hope of receiving answered prayers from the Almighty Allah.

Hon. Zubairu Kassim whiles conveying the warmest felicitations from the President Nana Akufo Addo and the Member of Parliament, Hon. Alexander Afenyo- Markin on the occasion of Eid- Ul- Fitr noted that Ramadan offers the people an opportunity to get closer to the Almighty Allah with renewed ties and improve the relationship they have with their neighbours and community members at large.

The Effutu MCE made the call when he joined Muslims in Winneba on Saturday, April 22, 2023, to mark the Eid-Ul –Fitr festival and congratulated all Muslims for successfully completing the sacred one month journey of fasting. He urged the gathering not to relent on their efforts but continue to be steadfast in Allah for their heart desires to be met

Hon. Zubairu Kassim requested for prayers to be said for the leaders of the country and appealed to all to support the Government and the Assembly to continue rolling out policies and programmes geared towards fixing the economic challenges being faced by the people.

He made several cash donations and pledged to support the work of the Zongo Community with 50 bags of Cement to help make the Eid durbar grounds better for future celebrations.

Addressing the gathering at the durbar grounds to offer prayers of thanksgiving the Almighty Allah, the Effutu Municipal Chief Imam, Alhaji Mohammed Mansuru, challenged Muslims to let the sacrifices made during the fasting season draw them closer to their maker with deeds likely to promote the interest of the society to bring about development.

He prayed for love, peace and togetherness to continue to exist with Muslims in and around the Municipality and the neighbours for national cohesion.
