A Day’s Prayer and Deliverance Service has been held for market men and women at the Winneba main Lorry Station on Thursday December 29, 2022 to offer prayers and thanksgiving for the traders and residents in the Municipal to receive the direction and blessings of God in the ensuing year.
It was an expression of palpable joy and gratitude at the interdenominational service as the congregants sought to thank God for granting the Municipality relative peace as well as prayed for God’s continues blessings for the Municipality and the country at large with a call on all to remain united in the midst of challenges.
The Municipal Chief Executive for the Effutu Municipal Assembly, Hon. Alhaji Zubairu Kassim, speaking on the theme “God Who Answer By Fire” (1 Kings 18: 38), appealed to religious faiths in the Municipality to pray for the nation and work hard to support the Assembly and Government to achieve “The Ghana Beyond Aid” Agenda to meet the aspiration of the people.
He charged all to put partisan issues aside and rally behind the leadership of the nation as the government continues to operationalize its policies and programs towards the realization of the country’s development goals.
The congregants dressed mostly in an all-white attire, prayed for the intervention and direction of God as they prepare to enter into 2023.They prayed against all forms of principalities in the market and asked for God to take control of the activities in the market to ensure a successful year ahead.
Speakers at the event included Venerable Aaron Moses Kwamena Eduah of the Anglican Church in Winneba and the Alhaji Mansuru Mohamed Issah, the Municipal Chief Imam with the Presiding Member, Hon. Elizabeth Senah and the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Francis Asiedu gracing the occasion.
