EFFUTU GNFS HOLDS FESTIVAL OF NINE LESSONS AND CAROLS

Christians have been urged to have a renewed spirit filed with love and compassion coupled with sharing with the needy to give meaning to the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ to make them worthy sons of God.

Delivering the Sermon at the 2022 Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols organized by the Ghana National Fire Service in Winneba on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, the Head Pastor of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) in Winneba, Rev. Dadzie- Bonney, advised senior officers to eschew intimidation of their subordinates by making the workplace a comfortable haven for the work entrusted to them by their appointing authorities.

In an exhortation, Rev. Dadzie- Bonney said, that the birth of Jesus Christ continues to be significant as it reminds Christians of God’s love for them and the need for mankind to focus on winning their salvation. 

He said that the incarnation of Jesus Christ should have meaning in the lives of people in the Christian Faith.

The Special Guest for the occasion and the Municipal Chief Executive for the Effutu Municipal Assembly, Hon. Alhaji Zubairu Kassim, noted that the birth of Christ represents a medium of reconciling man to God and therefore urged Christians to forgive one another of any wrongdoing whiles seeking to foster unity and harmony.

He appealed to the residents of Effutu, especially the youth to employ modesty in celebrating the yuletide in order not to have issues with the laws of the land.

Hon. Zubairu Kassim, acknowledged the contributions of the Member of Parliament for the area, Hon. Alexander Kwamena Afenyo- Markin as well as the Paramount Chief of the Effutu.

Traditional Area, Nenyi Ghartey VII, for partnering with the Assembly to drive the development agenda of the Municipality.

The Bible Lessons were taken from texts from the Old and New Testaments by selected staff of the Ghana National Fire Service with a choral group and praise team of the Service treating the congregation to melodious Christmas carols.
