The Municipal Chief Executive for the Effutu Minunicipal Assembly, Hon. Alhaji Zubairu Kassim has taken delivery of a school bus provided by the Government of Ghana for the Winneba Vocational Training Institute to ease transportation challenges faced by the school.
The presentation of Buses to all TVET institutions in the country was made at the Graduation and Handing Over Ceremony of Overall Upgrading and Modernization of Vocational Education Systems Project in Ghana at the TVET Service Headquarters in Accra by the Vice President, Alhaji Dr. Mahmoud Bawumia with support from the Minister of Education Hon. Yaw Osei Adutwum.
Hon. Zubairu Kassim, whose strong lobbying skills secured the bus which forms part of vehicles procured by Government to boost TVET education in the country that have been added to the Free Senior High School Policy noted that the donation of buses to Technical and Vocational Institutions is a clear manifestation of President Akufo Addo’s commitment to the promotion of Technical and Vocational education in the country. He continued that the NPP Government has clearly committed itself to ensuring that the teaming youth in the country who have chosen to pursue Technical and Vocational Education are provided with all the needed infrastructure and resources to realize the set objectives of TVET education by getting them gainfully employed after their 3 years education.
Hon. Zubairu Kassim lauded the Government for given TVET education the needed boost to produce the required manpower to feed various sectors of the economy.
The MCE thanked the President and Government for the humanitarian gesture and asked students of the Winneba Vocational Training Institute to learn extra hard to justify government support to the institution.
