A team from the Ghana National Household Registry (GNHR) on Friday, May 31, 2024 visited the Effutu Municipal Assembly to extend the appreciation of the outfit and the Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection to the Municipality for the cooperation, support and participation during the period of data- collection in the area.
The Ghana National Household Registry, established with a mandate of creating a single database for effective and efficient targeting of the extremely poor, vulnerable and excluded people in the country undertook an exercise involving the registration of households through the collection of basic information on people’s social economic status by administering a data intake questionnaire to each household.
The team led by Mr. Bismark Bless Nyadzi in a meeting the leadership of the Effutu Municipal Assembly exalted the enormous contribution and commitment of the Assembly for the realization of a credible data needed for Government’s planning purposes.
He said that the visit which formed of GNHR’s operational work closure was to allow for a proper communication exit in the Central Region.
The Effutu Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Alhaji Zubairu Kassim thank the Ghana National Household Registry for the level of professionalism and competence exhibited during their stay in Effutu.
According to him, data is in essential component in planning by the Government to come with innovative policies and programs geared towards eradicating social problems in the society to shore up development.
The Effutu Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Abdulai Alhasan Issifu on his part assured of the Assembly’s readiness to partner with all relevant state agencies for national development.
The team with the support of the Effutu Municipal Information Officer later visited Radio Windy Bay at Winneba to engage with the Effutu people to express the appreciation of the Ministry and Government of Ghana for the support, cooperation and participation during the data- collection exercise in the Municipality.
They hinted that the Ghana National Household Registry would soon make public through the respective Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies the findings of the data collection exercise undertaken in the region and the country as a whole.
