A two- Day assessment of the Effutu Municipal Assembly for the 2022 District Performance Assessment Tool (DPAT) ended on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 with a sterling delivery by the Assembly on the thematic areas earmarked for award of marks to successfully complete the process with a score of 93% out of a 97-percentage score set for the exercise.The assessment which commenced on Monday, October 9, 2023 ended with an exit conference attended by the Effutu Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Alhaji Zubairu Kassim, the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Banini Dzorgbenyui Kwadzo as well as Heads of various Departments/Units and staff of the Assembly.The leader of GJ Morgans Consultancy, the firm that undertook the assessment exercise in Effutu, Dr. Kwabena Boadu- Yeboah, delivered the outcome of the assessment and touched on the key thematic areas for assessment of the Assembly in three core areas including compliance indicators, Service delivery and performance indicators with their respective marks to sum up to 97%.He highlighted areas where the Assembly dropped points and provided suggestions on how to enhance local economic development initiatives, Minutes and report writing as well as a variety of other task related to the execution of the mandate of the Assembly.Dr. Boadu- Yeboah lauded the preparedness and commitment of the staff of the Assembly at providing the necessary documentation and evidence of work done for a successful assessment process.The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Alhaji Zubairu Kassim, thanked the team for their show of professionalism and counsel during the period and pledged that the leadership of the Assembly was going see to the implementation of the recommendations made to enhance the development of the area.He expressed his personal appreciation and that of the good people of Effutu to the staff of the Assembly for their dedication and selflessness with which they approached the exercise. Hon. Zubairu Kassim however entreated staff to take notice of the shortfalls identified by the assessment team and work harder to meet all indicators set to acquire the total percentage points in future assessment of the Assembly’s performance.
